The US Federal Aviation Administration has cleared the Dassault Falcon 7X business jet for steep approaches, giving US operators the flexibility to land at London City and Lugano in Switzerland.
The European Aviation Safety Agency granted steep approach certification to the trijet in 2008 and specifically approved it for London City flights this February. The new FAA ruling now allows US-based operators to access London City and any other airport in the world with approach slopes of up to 6°.
Dassault says the new approval will allow its US customers to attend meetings in London's financial centre "moments after landing".
