Icelandair parent company FL Group has further raised its interest in UK budget airline easyJet with a share purchase that takes its overall stake from around 11% to just over 13%. FL Group has been slowly acquiring additional shares in the low-cost operator since October last year, when it purchased an initial 10% of the company. Since then, the shares have gone from trading at around the 120p (220¢) mark to over 300p in mid-August. EasyJet founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou, who controls 41% of the carrier, has reiterated that he has no intention of selling his stake.
