Indian carrier Vistara will be the seventh carrier to fly between Mumbai and Dubai when it launches daily services on 21 August.

The airline will operate Airbus A320neos on the route, which will be its third after Mumbai-Singapore and Delhi-Singapore launch in early August.

"We’re delighted to add Dubai to our growing network, a city that has been constantly thriving for decades and always has something new to offer," says Vistara chief executive Leslie Thng.

"With the continuous influx of international trade, business and tourists all year round, especially given the strong economic and cultural ties between India and the UAE, Dubai makes a key addition to our growing network."

Cirium schedules data shows that Emirates is the leader in the market, accounting for around 52% of seats operated between the two cities. It is followed by IndiGo (16%), Air India (12%), SpiceJet (11%), Air India Express (5%) and FlyDubai (3.4%).
