Spinetta proposed to succeed Blanc

The French Government has proposed ex-Air Inter boss Jean-Cyril Spinetta to be president of Air France, after the resignation of Christian Blanc. He is expected to be confirmed in the position on 24 September. Others, including Marc Rochet, head of British Airways' French subsidiary, TAT, had declined the offer.
