Collins Aerospace and Lufthansa Technik have signed a licensing agreement for nacelle MRO services for the Pratt & Whitney PW1100G geared turbofan.

Under the agreement, LHT will now join Collins’ nacelle MRO network. Collins, which is the original equipment manufacturer for the PW1100G nacelles, will provide LHT with technical and repair process information.

It will also provide LHT access to tooling as well as asset pools to support the nacelle MRO services.

“Access to this expanded MRO network together with in-region asset presence and the enhanced ability to conduct on-site repairs around the world will reduce aircraft downtime, passenger delays, and transportation costs incurred by the airline,” says Collins.

Collins has more than 1,100 PW1100G nacelles in service on the Airbus A320neo family aircraft globally.

The latest agreement adds to existing partnerships LHT and Collins have for A350 and Boeing 787 nacelle MRO services.
