IndiGo has revealed the launch date for flights to Copenhagen, as the low-cost operator continues to expand its European network.
The airline will from 8 October begin operating three flights a week to the Danish capital, deploying Boeing 787-9s wet-leased from Norse Atlantic Airways.

The launch of Copenhagen – the airline’s 44th international point – comes a day after it disclosed the launch of flights to Athens in 2026, its first European point that will be operated with Airbus A321XLRs.
These are on top of existing flights to Manchester and Amsterdam, and upcoming operations to London.
In June, IndiGo revealed it would launch flights to Athens, London and Copenhagen, but did not disclose dates.
The airline notes that Copenhagen “offers convenient onward connections to Sweden, Norway, and the greater Scandinavian region”
Pieter Elbers, IndiGo’s CEO, states: “With growing demand for travel between India and Northern Europe, we are delighted to connect Mumbai to Copenhagen, marking IndiGo’s entry into the Scandinavian region. This expansion strengthens our presence in Europe, offering Copenhagen as a gateway to the Nordic region for Indian travellers.”
Separately, IndiGo signed a memorandum of understanding with Greek operator Aegean, for a potential codeshare partnership.
Subject to regulatory approval, the partnership will kick in following the launch of flights to Athens from India. Aegean has also indicated plans to fly to India from Athens by March 2026.
IndiGo envisages its code being added to Aegean’s domestic and European flights from Athens, while Aegean’s code will be added to a “significant number” of points in IndiGo’s network.
