Taiwan’s Starlux Airlines has expanded its codeshare with Alaska Airlines to include transcontinental flights for the first time.
Under the expanded agreement – announced 30 September – Starlux will add its code to Alaska-operated flights to 12 cities from Seattle and San Francisco.
The new cities include Atlanta, Boise, Orlando, Kansas City and Tampa. The codeshares will also cover two transcontinental routes: Seattle-Washington Dulles, as well as San Francisco-New York Newark.

These are on top of the eight domestic points Starlux already codeshares from Seattle, including Phoenix, Las Vegas and Dallas. Starlux first announced the partnership with Alaska in October 2024, around the time it launched its first transpacific flights between Taipei and Seattle.
The Taiwanese operator’s North American network has since grown to include cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco. Starlux also disclosed its intention to serve the east coast of the USA in the future, once it takes delivery of its Airbus A350-1000s.
Starlux CEO Glenn Chai states: “This new chapter in our partnership not only strengthens our North American network, but also gives travelers more flexibility and efficiency when flying to Taipei and beyond.”
Apart from Alaska, Starlux also recently signed an interline agreement with American Airlines, which will take effect following the launch of direct flights to Phoenix in January 2026.
