HAECO Americas unit has opened its fifth hangar at Piedmont Triad International airport in North Carolina.

The $60 million facility spans 250,000ft2 (23,225m2), making it the largest maintenance space within HAECO America's portfolio.

The new hangar can accommodate up to eight narrowbody aircraft, or be configured to handle two widebody and two narrowbody aircraft simultaneously.

While HAECO did not state the facility's capabilities, HAECO America's website shows that it provides various airframe and composite MRO services, as well as cabin modification and installation work.

"This hangar is a testament to the incredible pace of growth our company has seen over the past year, and we are proud to showcase it to our community. Our parent company has recognised the excellent progress our team has made and the significant opportunity this additional capacity creates," says HAECO Americas' chief executive Richard Kendall.
