Israel Aerospace Industries' Bedek Aviation Group has been contracted to provide MRO support for IAE V2500 powerplants operated by China's HNA Group and its airline subsidiaries.

In a statement, the engines will be sent to Bedek's facility in Israel and then returned to China following servicing. The contract is valued "at tens of millions of dollars a year," it adds.

“We welcome the contract with HNA Group, a breakthrough for Bedek which is expected to open up additional markets for us in engine maintenance as well as in other specialty areas,” says Yossi Melamed, IAI executive vice president and general manager of Bedek.

Bedek also provides MRO services for other civil engines including the CFM International CFM56 and Pratt & Whitney PW4000.

Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that at the group level V2500 engines power 93 Airbus A320-family aircraft, operated by Capital Airlines, Air Guilin, HK Express, and Tianjin Airlines.
