Hong Kong-based low-cost carrier HK Express will launch Hong Kong-Okinawa flights on 26 September, joining two other compatriot airlines.

The flight will be operated daily with its A320 family aircraft, according to HK Express.

Cirium’s schedules data shows Hong Kong-based carriers Hong Kong Airlines and Cathay Dragon operate the route. Hong Kong Airlines has 20 flights a week, while Cathay Dragon flies daily.

Japanese low-cost carrier Peach Aviation also flies Hong Kong-Okinawa daily.

Okinawa will be HK Express’ 12th Japanese destination. Concurrently, it will begin thrice-weekly flights to Shimojishima in July.
