Bhutan flag carrier Druk Air has taken delivery of its first ATR 42-600, which has been fitted with a new enhanced vision system.

The aircraft, which can seat 40, will be used on international flights between Bhutan and Kathmandu, Kolkata and Dhaka. It will be used to domestic points, primarily to smaller airports in the Himalayan Mountains.

Druk Air’s turboprop is fitted with the ‘ClearVision’ system, which employs an external camera to provide an enhanced view to the pilot through a head-worn visor. It aims to improve the pilot’s situation awareness.
