For those of you who follow these things, recent events in the changing rooms at Old Trafford, home of Manchester United Football Club, have prompted a question from nephew Andy Davidson. He has heard of the Sunderland Flying Boat but never the Manchester Flying Boot. Of course, the Vickers Wellington was a sort of flying boot and, I believe the Avro Manchester was apparently a bit of an old boot to handle.
