Delta Air Lines' low-fare division, Delta Express, begins services to Florida from Chicago O'Hare on 1 July, with multiple daily flights to Ft Lauderdale and Orlando. Delta Express begins a service to Ft Lauderdale from Providence, Rhode Island on 6 April, increasing services to Florida from other cities for the summer season. British Airways franchise operator Maersk Air Ltd has launched a daily flight between Birmingham and Marseille. DHL International is to create a UK airline arm based at DHL's East Midlands Airport hub that will operate part of the new fleet of Boeing 757-200 Special Freighters. The airline, to be named in April, will operate 23 of the 44 757-200SFs that DHL is acquiring for its European network. Argentinian airline LAPA will drop its Buenos Aires-Atlanta Boeing 767-300ER service on 1 April in favour of codesharing on Delta Air Lines' daily Boeing MD-11 flight between the two cities. The two carriers are discussing a cargo alliance. British Airways has introduced a direct daily service between London Gatwick and San Diego using a 777-200. This replaces a 747-400 service which operated via Phoenix. Garuda Indonesia is to start daily services from Jakarta to Frankfurt in October. Sabena has ceased services to Bremen, Ajaccio, Jersey and Palma de Mallorca. Air Canada Regional will begin a daily Fokker F28 service between Indianapolis and Toronto on 7 May. UK regional airline British European has introduced additional codeshare flights with Air France on services from London City Airport to Aberdeen and Edinburgh, and from Birmingham to Belfast and Edinburgh. A three-times-daily service between Glasgow and Paris via Birmingham has begun, using BAe 146s. Lufthansa has launched daily non-stop flights from Frankfurt to Denver and Phoenix, and Lufthansa CityLine has started a Düsseldorf-Manchester service.
