Air Canada is to finally take delivery of two Airbus A340-500s after gaining bankruptcy court approval on 19 March. The airline, European manufacturer Airbus and the carrier's planned majority shareholder Trinity Time Investments have agreed on the delivery and financing of the two aircraft. In return, Airbus is permitting the cancellation of two Airbus A321 deliveries and the deferred delivery to 2010 of three A340-600s.
