Air France will reduce its summer seat capacity on North Atlantic routes by 6.5% in co-ordination with its joint venture partners Delta Air Lines, KLM and Alitalia.

It will reduce capacity in available seat kilometres by suspending services to Seattle, which will be flown by Delta, and New York Newark from the beginning of the summer season. The SkyTeam carrier will then suspend services to Orlando from 3 September. It will also reduce seat capacity on its flights to Miami and Toronto, while maintaining frequencies.

Air France will also introduce the Airbus A380 on its route to Los Angeles. It will operate seven weekly A380 frequencies and eight Boeing 777-200 frequencies instead of the 20 frequencies it operated last summer using 777-200s and 777-300s.
