Vietnamese carrier Vietjet Air has firmed an order for 100 Airbus A321neos, converting a memorandum of understanding disclosed in June.
That deal, unveiled at the Paris air show, also included 50 options.

Signature of the contract between the carrier and Airbus took place during the official visit of Vietnam’s General Secretary To Lam to the UK.
No delivery schedule or engine selection was disclosed, however. Vietjet has previously ordered Pratt & Whitney PW1100Gs to power its A321neos.
At the end of September, Vietjet held outstanding orders for 96 A321neos, alongside 40 Rolls-Royce Trent 7000-engined A330-900s, Airbus data shows.
In total, Vietjet has placed orders for 280 examples of the narrowbody, Airbus states.
