Airbus Helicopters has received a contract extension related to the Tiger attack helicopters operated by the Australian army.

The five-year Tiger through-life contract runs until 2025 and covers areas such as maintenance, operational maintenance of training aircraft, training, design services, software development and testing, and other support areas.

“This is an aircraft type that will serve on into the 2040s in the worldwide fleet,” says Airbus Australia Pacific managing director Andrew Mathewson.

“We will endeavour to provide the best armed reconnaissance helicopter capability in Australia over the same timeframe.”
