Nishi Nippon Airlines has taken delivery of a Bell 412EP helicopter, the first such transaction conducted through the manufactures new Tokyo office.

Nishi Nippon will use the helicopter to perform “electric power utility missions,” says Bell in a statement.

“We have been using Bell helicopters for a long time and recognize Bell aircraft’s superiority,” says Nobuo Tanoue, president, Nishi Nippon Airlines.

“The Bell 412EP has been our workhorse and we have appreciated its superior cargo sling capability for our goods and material transport missions. We are confident that Bell will provide the industry’s best aftermarket support for years to come.”

Flightglobal’s Ascend Fleets database shows that Nishi Nippon operates over 20 helicopters, including five helicopters from Bell, six from Airbus Helicopters, and eight from Kawasaki Heavy Industries.
