FL Technics has won a contract to conduct base checks on Airbus A320-family jets operated by Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings Europe.
The Lithuanian maintenance provider says the five-year deal covers "extended services" for base maintenance, engineering and tasks relating to its design organisation approval.
Chief executive Zilvinas Lapinskas says FL Technics staff members have completed training by Eurowings Europe, and that the first aircraft has arrived at the MRO provider's Kaunas hangar.
"We're looking forward to welcome the other scheduled planes," he states.
Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that Eurowings Europe has nine CFM International CFM56-powered A320s, as as well as three A319s equipped with International Aero Engines V2500s.
The Vienna-based carrier is a subsidiary of Lufthansa's low-cost division Eurowings and has stationed aircraft in the Austrian capital and Salzburg.
In late 2017, FL Technics disclosed a base maintenance agreement with Lufthansa covering A320-family jets in service with Eurowings operating unit Germanwings and group sibling Swiss.
