Pilatus is set to complete the sale of a further two PC-12 single-engined turboprop business aircraft in Mexico as the country's first customer takes delivery this week. Mexican launch customer, Monterrey-based charter broker Aéro Vana, is to use the aircraft from 1 February.

Pilatus dealer, PC-12 Center de México, is also finalising a deal for two more aircraft, both for undisclosed private customers. Director Adrián Zambrano Yturria believes there is a large market in Mexico for aircraft in the "$2-3 million gap". He adds that as Mexican regulations are becoming more stringent, operators of older jet types are looking at lower-priced alternatives to new aircraft.

PC-12 Center de México is also considering launching a turboprop fractional-ownership programme, as many of the corporations exploring the aircraft want to outsource management to avoid bureaucracy.
