Talks between Boeing and the South Korean government over the country's planned acquisition of 40 F-15K fighters appear to be making progress after the US company lowered the aircraft's price. Seoul had warned that Boeing would have to reduce the price tag (Flight International, 7-13 May). Both sides hope to reach agreement by the end of this month. South Korea is meanwhile to decide whether it can afford to proceed with longstanding plans to acquire Patriot missiles from Raytheon.
