China and Kyrgyzstan have entered a new agreement increasing direct flights between the two nations.

In a statement on its website, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) says the increased links will promote trade and tourism. It did not provide details on the number of additional frequencies that the agreement covers.

Flightglobal's Flightmaps Analytics database shows that the only direct flights between the two neighbours are on the Bishkek-Urumqi and Osh-Urumqi routes. Key operators between the two countries include Air Bishkek, Altyn Air, and China Southern Airlines.
