Air safety services provider AVISA has signed a contract with the Bermuda department of civil aviation to provide airworthiness and technical services.

The services will cover Bermudan aircraft based in Europe, Russia and the Middle East.

"AVISA has been contracted to ensure that all the Bermuda-registered aircraft are maintained and managed to the highest of international standards and practices," says the service provider.

The work will cover aircraft certification, maintenance engineers' licence validation, aircraft maintenance organisation approvals, overseeing the management of continuing airworthiness of the fleet and the regulation of maintenance of the aircraft for air operators' certificate holders.
