CHC Helicopter has appointed Jorn Madsen as chief executive following the resignation of incumbent David Balevic.

Balevic, who is leaving to pursue new challenges, has led the global rotorcraft operator since 2019.

He says: “It has been my privilege over the last three years to lead and serve an incredible organisation.

“During this time, we have restructured our balance sheet, strengthened our operational capabilities, and positioned the company for future success.”

Madsen joins from Maersk Drilling, where he has held the chief executive post since November 2016, overseeing the company’s merger with Noble Corporation in October 2022.

He joined Maersk in 1990, with his career at the Danish firm encompassing technical, operational and leadership roles.
