A plan to restore a Junkers F.13 for exhibition purposes is being pursued by companies represented here at ILA. To pursue the rebuilding of what it terms "the mother of all commercial aircraft", luggage manufacturer RIMOWA (hall 8, stand 357) has partnered Verein der Freunder historischer Luftfahrzeuge (hall 9, stand 209A) - a German "friends of historical aircraft" association - as well as Swiss aviation museum JU-AIR, which owns three Junkers Ju-52s. The restoration work require to make the F.13 airworthy is being carried out by Deutsches Technikmuseum here in Berlin.
