Kelowna Flightcraft will place a $3.2 million order for seven Beech King Air C90B twin turboprops and a $7.5 million order for nine Grob G120A single-engined trainers after winning the C$1.7 billion ($1.4 billion) contract to provide primary flight training for the Canadian Forces over the next 22 years (Flight International, 29 March–4 April). Kelowna says the Allied Wings consortium will also refurbish a government-owned fleet of seven Bell 206 and nine Bell 412 helicopters, and invest C$25 million in ground facilities at the Canadian Aviation Training Centre in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba.
