Pilatus has awarded Airod a 3.3 million ringitt ($1 million) contract to service PC-7 Mk II trainers for the Royal Malaysian Air Force. Announced during last month's LIMA air show in Langkawi, the deal includes the conversion of eight legacy aircraft into the same confuration as 10 newly-purchased examples, with work on the first example top conclude by late May 2008.

Malaysia's current air force inventory includes 57 PC-7s delivered since 1983, including 14 in the Swiss manufacturer's Mk II standard, according to Flight's MiliCAS database.
