Armenian flag carrier Armavia has taken delivery of its first new Airbus A319, the twinjet having been leased from International Lease Finance. The aircraft brings the airline's Airbus fleet to five - three A319s and two A320s. The airline will use the jet on new routes to Zurich and Berlin, as well as services to Paris, Amsterdam, Athens, Dubai and destinations within Russia and Ukraine.

Southwest Airlines is cutting several destinations from its network, pushing employee time-off programmes, and considering seating changes after surging costs and Boeing 737 Max delivery delays pushed it to a $231 million first-quarter loss.
UK regional carrier Loganair is to cut three routes from its network and reduce frequencies on some others following a review by new chief executive Luke Farajallah aimed at improving its operational resilience.
