Emirates managing director Maurice Flanagan has been appointed vice-chairman and group president. Chief director airline Tim Clark will become president of Emirates Airline, reporting to Flanagan, as will president of group support services (formerly chief director finance, IT and services) Dermot Mannion. Chief director support and development Gary Chapman will become president of Dnata and associated non-airline companies. Jindrich Ploch, former head of the Czech National Armaments Directorate, has replaced Boleslav Stavovcík as director of the country's civil aviation authority. The US Department of Transportation (DoT) is looking for a new deputy secretary after the resignation of Michael Jackson. Jackson, best known for his role in forming the Transportation Security Administration, will leave on 1 August. Sikorsky has named president Dean Borgman as chairman, finally replacing Eugene Buckley, who retired in 1999. Borgman will be replaced as president by Pratt & Whitney's president of military engines Stephen Finger. Alfonso Pasquel Barcenas has resigned as chairman and chief executive of Aeromexico. His successor as chief executive will be joint general director Arturo Barahona. Cintra chairman Luis Gutierrez Ruvalcaba will take over as Aeromexico chairman at the end of this month.
