Raytheon has rolled out the first development-model SeaRAM anti-ship-missile defence system. SeaRAM is a Phalanx Block 1B close-in weapon system with the Gatling gun replaced by an 11-round RAM missile launcher. In 2001, an engineering model was provided to the UK while four blast-tests were made with the US Navy.
