Irish budget carrier Ryanair has launched a new "Business Plus" product aimed at corporate travellers.

The range of benefits includes flexibility on ticket changes, a 20kg checked-in baggage allowance, fast-track security at certain airports, and priority boarding and allocated seating.

Business travel already accounts for more than a quarter of Ryanair's passenger numbers, says the airline, which intends to launch a second GDS partnership shortly, having sealed a deal with Travelport in March.

Low-cost rival EasyJet has similarly targeted business passengers with various product and distribution initiatives.

Ryanair's Business Plus offering joins a series of service enhancements the airline has introduced within a programme dubbed "Always Getting Better". These span a new app and website, mobile boarding passes, a 24h grace period for corrections to booking details, reductions in airport bag fees and boarding-card reissue fees, an increased baggage allowance, "quiet flights", and a "Family Extra" product.
