A Gulfstream III operated by Tulsa, Oklahoma-based Jet Place crashed in a field 2.5km (1.5 miles) from Houston Hobby airport in Texas on 22 November, apparently after clipping a light pole in fog on the approach and killing the three crewmembers on board. The aircraft was repositioning from Dallas Love Field to pick up former US president George Bush for a trip to Ecuador. The accident occurred at 0615 local time.
