David Plavin, former director of aviation for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, has been named president of the Airports Council International North America (ACI-NA). Before joining the Port Authority he was executive vice-president for operations at the Jacob K Javits Convention Center in New York and served eight years as executive director at the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
