IBIS Aerospace has still not flown its prototype Ae 270P utility aircraft, but expects to do so "shortly" after resolving outstanding regulatory issues with the Czech civil aviation authority.
The aircraft is "technically ready" for its maiden flight, which has so far been delayed by nearly five months, according to IBIS, a 50/50 joint venture between Aero Vodochody and Taiwan's Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation.
Aero is primarily a military aircraft manufacturer and has not attempted a civil certification for decades. Earlier delays to the programme were caused by the late delivery of components.
