AgustaWestland has signed an agreement with Malaysian firm Deftech to build a facility to customise, maintain and repair the commercial range of AgustaWestland helicopters.
Under the agreement, which follows an MoU signed in late 2003 and witnessed by the Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamed, Deftech and AgustaWestland will co-operate on future programmes such as the Malaysian coastguard, army tactical transport and air force combat search and rescue helicopters.
