Air Calédonie International, otherwise known as Aircalin, has introduced the first of two new Airbus A330-200s it has on order on services from its base in Noum‚a, New Caledonia, in the Pacific. The General Electric CF6-80E1A4-powered 271-seater is being operated on services to Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney in Australia; Osaka and Tokyo in Japan; Auckland, New Zealand; and Papeete in Tahiti. The aircraft are replacing an A310-300 leased from the manufacturer.
