The first Dutch heliport launched operations on 3 August. The site is close to the centre of Amsterdam and provides office space, as well as a VIP passenger lounge. The heliport can accommodate helicopters up to the size of a Sikorsky S-76. Helicopters with a length of more than 16m (52ft) must request parking in advance. The first aircraft to use Amsterdam Heliport was a Dutch EMS helicopter (pictured).

CHC Helikopter Service is to deploy six helicopters – including three on-order Leonardo AW189s – to support a new offshore contract with Aker BP in Norway.
