ITT and Mercury Computer Systems have jointly developed a processing system called FELCO, or Federated Embedded inteL-server for Collaborative Operations, which rapidly transmits raw sensor imagery and metadata from aircraft.
The system allows users to control the data stream through digital video recorder-like interactions, including stopping, rewinding and viewing the information in slow motion. The system was designed for tactical unmanned aircraft system platforms but could scale to larger systems as well.
