Bell Helicopter Textron and the State Ownership Fund of Romania have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) setting the ground rules for negotiations for Bell's acquisition of a major interest in IAR Brasov, the state-owned aircraft and helicopter manufacturer.
Negotiations between Bell and the Romanian ministry of defence, which were to begin in September, will be completed by the end of October. They will conclude six months of evaluations by both parties.
