The first captive-carry flight test of the Boeing X-37 reusable spaceplane demonstrator took place on 21 June from Mojave, California. Carried by Scaled Composites’ White Knight aircraft, the flight was in preparation for an atmospheric drop test of the X-37. The X-37 approach and landing test was transferred from NASA to the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency late last year.
