The tragic loss of British Aerospace's de Havilland Mosquito on 21 July means that we have not only lost a marvellous aircraft, but a Total Aviation Person in Kevin Moorhouse who died in the crash along with his engineer Steve Watson. Kevin was one of those who self-improved all the way to the top of his profession, to become a production test pilot at British Aerospace, without having come up through the services. For recreation, he drove the Mosquito and Cirrus Moth at airshows, and his own Tiger Moth at weekends.
