Canada says it will not challenge a World Trade Organisation ruling that government loans to Bombardier broke trade rules. Instead, Ottawa will try to settle its six-year trade war with Brazil, with talks due in April. With government support, Bombardier won three CRJ contracts worth around $4 billion. Embraer president Mauricio Botelho welcomed the effort, but adds: "Any resolution has to take into account the fact that Brazil is not granting illegal subsidies and Canada is."
