Aircraft Manufacturing & Development (AM&D), plans to transfer production of Zenair's Zenith CH2000 trainer to its new 2,400m2 (26,000ft2) factory in Eastman, Georgia, by year-end. AM&D manufactures, sells and markets the all-metal CH2000 single in the USA for Canadian kit maker Zenair. According to AM&D president Matheiu Heintz, "the move will end five years of making the two-seater in temporary quarters ill-suited for aircraft manufacture". Production will begin at the new site in early January.
