Bombardier has consolidated its non-US charter programmes into a single entity called Skyjet International. In a simultaneous move, the Canadian manufacturer has launched a charter programme in the Middle East under the same banner, with operations to begin this month in Dubai.

Skyjet International, which incorporates the Flexjet block charter and Skyjet on-demand charter brands, will cover Europe, Asia and the Middle East, where Bombardier says there is a growing acceptance of business aviation transport and an increased demand for international flying. Skyjet International managing director Judith Moreton says the new service will simplify the booking process, with only one call required to a regional office, and cut the cost of charters for customers wanting to travel within the Skyjet regions. "Customers can travel at fixed rates with no penalties or surcharges," says Moreton. The service is also available to US customers. "Regionally, we expect to see a sharp increase in private jet fleets in the Middle East and Asia Pacific, particularly within China and Japan," she adds.
