Chinese carriers have raised their game in their efforts to recruit foreign pilots, with one airline planning to send a delegation to Europe to interview prospective employees.
According to UK aviation recruitment company Contractair, Shenzhen Airlines is leading the way by sending a top-level delegation along with officials from the Civil Aviation Administration of China to Brussels to interview European pilots.
Contractair managing director Frances Cooremans says that "the intake of foreign pilots is generally smooth. Shenzhen Airlines likes to see itself as offering opportunities to pilots worldwide and to that effect in a joint co-operation with Sabena Flight Academy and ourselves, it is coming to Brussels."
