The CIS Interstate Aviation Committee - Aviation Register has certificated Airbus Industrie's A300-600 and-600R, and has cleared the Pratt & Whitney-powered Airbus A310 for extreme-cold-weather operations. The cold-weather trials, carried out in January at Yakutsk, Eastern Siberia, cleared the aircraft down to a ground-temperature of -54°C, as opposed to the current -40°C. Meanwhile, separately, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has certificated the whole A340 family, says Airbus.
