Joe Carr has been appointed director of technology conversion for the defence-research sector of the UK Ministry of Defence's Defence Evaluation and Research Agency (DERA), on secondment from UK specialist engineering company TI Group. Carr, who is technology director at TI, will be on the secondment for a year.
