Northrop Grumman and GEC-Marconi Avionics have formed a strategic alliance to pursue business opportunities based on the AAQ-24(V) directed infra-red countermeasures (DIRCM) system they are developing for the Royal Air Force and US Air Force. The two companies have also teamed to develop a laser upgrade of the DIRCM.
