The launch of the Space Shuttle Discovery on the return to flight mission, STS 114, had not been rescheduled firmly as Flight International closed for press, after its launch was called off two and a half hours before the planned lift-off on 13 July. NASA said late last week that launch would be rescheduled for no earlier than 17 July. The postponement was because a liquid hydrogen low fuel-level cut-off sensor in the external tank failed to pass its routine pre-launch checkout.
