Farnborough 2008 will have a flying start this morning when the Red Arrows fly by at 10:30, after the official opening speech by secretary of state for business enterprise and regulatory reform, the Rt Hon John Hutton MP.
“This year’s applications from exhibitors has already seen a 15% increase from 2006,” says show organiser Trevor Sidebottom OBE, of Farnborough International.
“The total number of exhibitors is more than 1,500, from 40 countries, with 29 international and regional pavilions. We expect 140,000 business visitors during this week,” says Sidebottom. “This year’s show is expected to be even bigger and better than before. and what better way to start the show than with the Red Arrows,” he says.
